Packaging Design

The general idea of the packaging design had been made as soon as the various artist studies and the batik studies were completed. It would be simple but with elements of batik incorporated into the packaging as a nice touch. This also fits well regarding the survey held previously, asking people of certain demographics about their preferences.

Part I - Research

The research was done to help give a rough idea of the packaging. There are various types of it, ranging from simple and common, to interesting and different.

And a mood board was made to accompany the research.

However, these were the two packagings that were chosen in the end, along with their nets.

Progress is from left to right. The lid has been removed as it was not required.

The cup follows the theme of comfy, working with a similar colour palette to the posters. Not too shocking, and not too faded. The cup also features elements of batik, following the box, so that the packaging for the cafe are linked to each other using batik.
